Taylor Dayne stands out as one of music's most dynamic artists. Taylor Dayne has proven to be one of a few performers who, by virtue of sheer talent, can withstand the test of time. Taylor Dayne's unique vocal style has earned her two double platinum albums and several Grammy nominations. Taylor Dayne's appeal transcends the genres of Pop, Dance and Adult Contemporary music.

Taylor Dayne hails from New York, where she grew up surrounded by music. "As an artist, I feel I can step into anything because I've been influenced by everything." By the time she graduated from high school, she had already joined her first band, Felony.

Taylor Dayne liked to dance and party. Hitting the New York clubs like CBGB's, the Bottom Line and Trax by night and studying music theory and composition in college by day, she honed both her vocal prowess and dramatic presence. Taylor also received classical training from Maestro Carelli, Master at the Met and Julliard. In 1985 Taylor Dayne joined a new wave band, The Next, but decided she could pursue her musical calling with a solo career.

It was at this time that Taylor Dayne met producer Ric Wake, and began a collaboration that led to the making of Tell It To My Heart, the 1988 debut album that skyrocketed Taylor Dayne into super-stardom. With enthusiastic support from the dance club community, the single "Tell It To My Heart" leapt from dance charts to pop charts and up into the Top 10, followed by "I'll Always Love You," "Prove Your Love" and "Don't Rush Me."

Taylor Dayne's second album, Can't Fight Fate (1989), surpassed Dayne's debut effort with a string of hits, including "Every Beat Of My Heart," " I'll Be Your Shelter," "Heart Of Stone" and the #1 smash hit "Love Will Lead You Back."

Taylor Dayne climbed the charts again with her third album, Soul Dancing (1993)which featured a remake of Barry White's classic "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love," an ambitious undertaking few pop stars would have the will to try or soul to pull off.
Taylor Dayne has also successfully pursued an acting career. In her film debut she played Marissa in " Love Affair" starring Warren Beatty and Annette Bening. Taylor Dayne followed that performance with a role in the successful stage production of Mel Brooks "Archie and Mehitabel," at New York City's prestigious Town Hall. Taylor Dayne played the alley cat, Mehitabel, a role originated by Eartha Kitt in 1950.

Taylor Dayne then went on to star in the films "Fools Paradise," with Cory Parker and "Stag," with Andrew McCarthy and Kevin Dillon, in which Taylor Dayne played the part of a stripper being held against her will. And recently Taylor Dayne appeared in Disney's Broadway production of AIDA.

Taylor Dayne was featured in the VH1 series "Remaking", which featured her close friend, Leah Remini. The series documents Dayne's return to music after taking time off to have a family, (she has twins, Levi and Astaria).
Recently, she was Elton John's choice to perform at the Nile Rodgers We Are Family Foundation tribute to Elton John. She is currently working on her fifth studio album.
