Takin' It to the Streets, landed in 1976 and quickly became a platinum seller and later that year, released The Best of the Doobies. Livin' on the Fault Line dropped in 1977.

In 1987, after a brief break-up, the Doobie Brothers reunited after a one-off concert at the Hollywood Bowl and hit the road again.
