Anastacia Lyn Newkirk, born in 1968 in New York City, is an American singer-songwriter and dancer. Raised in a family of entertainers, with a mother who was a theater actress and a father who was a singer, she faced significant health challenges early in life, being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at thirteen. Despite this, she began her career as a dancer, appearing in various music videos and on the television show "Club MTV". Her participation in the MTV competition series "The Cut" in 1999 led to increased attention from record labels.

Her debut album, "Not That Kind", was released in 2000 and achieved notable commercial success, selling over two million copies and reaching the Top Ten in multiple European countries. The album’s lead single, “I’m Outta Love,” became particularly popular in the United States, resulting in the release of a US version of the album in 2001. Following her debut, Anastacia released several additional albums, including "Freak of Nature" (2002), "Anastacia" (2004), "Heavy Rotation" (2008), "It’s a Man’s World" (2012), "Resurrection" (2014), and "A 4 App" (2016).

Anastacia is also recognized for her philanthropic efforts. She has supported various charities, such as Life Ball, Make A Difference, and Challenge for the Children. Additionally, she participated in a project with Annie Lennox and other artists to create the song “Sing,” aimed at raising awareness of mother-to-child HIV transmission in Africa. As a breast cancer survivor, she established “The Anastacia Fund” to promote breast cancer awareness.

She continued to remain active in the entertainment industry, competing on the UK reality show "Strictly Come Dancing", and releasing a compilation album, "Ultimate Collection", in 2016. In October 2021, she won the third season of "The Masked Singer Australia" as the "Vampire," marking her as the first American artist to win the competition.

In 2022, Anastacia announced an international concert tour, "I'm Outta Lockdown – The 22nd Anniversary European Tour", to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her debut single “I’m Outta Love.” This tour, originally set for 2020, was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and took place from September 2022 to February 2023, receiving positive reviews for her stage presence and audience engagement.

In April 2023, she released the single "Best Days," which is part of her upcoming eighth studio album, "Our Songs". The album, which has received critical acclaim and Gold certification in Germany, includes collaborations and is expected to further showcase her musical evolution. Additionally, in September 2023, she announced her participation in Peter Maffay's Farewell Tour in 2024 and released a duet titled "Just You." In December 2023, Anastacia performed at Night of the Proms in Germany, marking her return to the event after eleven years.
