Isaak rose to fame in the 1990s with his breakthrough hit "Wicked Game," which was featured in David Lynch's film Wild at Heart. The song, accompanied by a memorable video featuring Helena Christensen, became a top ten single and propelled Isaak's album to platinum status, selling over a million copies.
Following the success of "Wicked Game," Isaak released several studio albums between 1993 and 1998, including San Francisco Days, Forever Blue, The Baja Sessions, and Speak of the Devil. He also made memorable guest appearances on popular shows such as Friends and in the HBO miniseries From the Earth to the Moon, portraying astronaut Ed White, who tragically lost his life in the 1967 Apollo 1 fire.
In 2009, Isaak hosted The Chris Isaak Hour, a one-hour show that combined interviews, musical performances, and featured collaborations with artists like Trisha Yearwood, Stevie Nicks, and Michael Bublé. During this show, he performed his duet "Breaking Apart" with Yearwood from his album Mr. Lucky, showcasing his continuing evolution as a musician.
