Felix Cavaliere, born on November 29, 1942, in Pelham, New York, is an acclaimed American musician best known as the co-lead vocalist and keyboard player for the legendary rock band, The Young Rascals. Felix's musical journey began at an early age; his mother encouraged him to take piano lessons starting at the age of six. However, after her passing when he was just fourteen, he shifted his focus from classical music to the more soulful sounds of blues and rock, drawing inspiration from greats like Ray Charles.

During high school, Cavaliere formed his first band, The Stereos, and expanded his musical role to include singing alongside playing the Hammond organ. His passion for music eventually led him to leave university after two years to fully commit to his artistic pursuits. After forming The Escorts, Felix made the move to New York City, where he worked as a backup singer before co-founding The Young Rascals in 1965 with Eddie Brigati, Dino Danelli, and Gene Cornish.
