Her exceptional career took off at the young age of twelve, following a serendipitous encounter with noted orchestrator and producer Herb Bernstein. Under his mentorship, Budd's talent blossomed, leading to a pivotal invitation to appear on The Merv Griffin Show, where she would go on to delight viewers more than one hundred times throughout the show's run.

Budd quickly established herself as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, making appearances on shows such as Entertainment Tonight, The Tonight Show, and The Carol Burnett Show.
