Houston’s H-Town fought for the attention of Luther (Luke) Campbell, who eventually signed the group and put out their '92 debut album, “Fever For Da Flava”, which featured the smash single "Knockin' Da Boots". The song hit #1 on the R&B charts, and #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, became New Jack Quiet Storm classic, and both the album and the single sold 2.5 million copies each.

H-Town's soulful remake of the The Persuaders' "A Thin Line Between Love and Hate" for the 1996 film of the same name went gold. Their third album "Ladies Edition, Woman's World" was released in October 1997.

Despite the untimely fatal car accident of vocalist Dino Conner in January 2003, H-Town released their album, “Imitations of Life”(October 2004) and continue to perform live.
