Infamously known as much for her fashion-sense and unabashed sexuality as her rhyme skills, Lil’ Kim is one of the premiere Hip Hop icons of the 2000s.


The world got their first taste of Lil’ Kim on the Junior M.A.F.I.A. album, “Conspiracy”, which featured the now-classic cuts “Player's Anthem” and “Get Money”. The album debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 charts.


A year after the gold-certified Junior M.A.F.I.A. album, Kim released her debut, “Hard Core” (November 1996). The album debuted at #11 on the charts selling nearly 130,000 in its first week and, at the time, was the highest debuting album for a female rapper in history. Her second album, “The Notorious K.I.M.” (June 2000) included the hit single “How Many Licks?”, and debuted at #1 on the Rap charts and #4 on Billboard 200. The album went on to sell over two million copies worldwide. “La Bella Mafia” (March 2003), Kim’s third album, brought us the hits “The Jump Off” (featuring Mr. Cheeks) and “The Magic Stick” (featuring 50 Cent) (which hit number 2 on the Hot 100), and debuted at number five on the Billboard 200. By the end of 2003, it had gone Platinum. Like its predecessor, this album has also sold over two million copies worldwide. Kim’s fourth album, The Naked Truth, (September 2005) earned a 5-mic rating from The Source, making her the first female rapper to do so.. Lil' Kim holds the record for the most albums sold in one week for a female rapper. She has also appeared in several movies, including“Zoolander”, “Juwanna Mann”, and “You Got Served”.
